Welcome
Kristie Hayward is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker offering a warm, grounded space to work through trauma, anxiety, depression, and emotional overwhelm.
Whether you’re taking the first step or returning to therapy, you’re welcome here.
-
Accredited Mental Health Social Workers are Medicare-approved professionals who provide structured, evidence-based therapy for a wide range of mental health concerns. Through a trauma-informed, person-centred lens, we consider your symptoms in addition to your life, relationships, and the systems around you.
How Kristie can help
Kristie offers trauma-informed counselling to help you explore and heal what’s holding you back.
Support is always tailored, whether you’re navigating a mental health diagnosis or simply feeling out of sorts and needing a reset.
Areas of support
Anxiety and panic
Depression and emotional numbness
Childhood trauma and life transitions
Guilt, shame and self-esteem
ADHD, neurodivergence and executive dysfunction
Stress, burnout and overwhelm
Navigating systems: NDIS, Redress Scheme, WorkCover, QPS, First Responders, victims of crime
A real human in the therapist seat
Kristie brings a calm, supportive, and down-to-earth presence to her sessions. With lived experience of ADHD and a strong sense of fairness, she believes people deserve to be respected for who they are and have their needs met.
Therapy should feel safe, validating, and genuinely useful. You won’t be judged. You won’t be forced into a box. Instead, Kristie will work alongside you to explore your story, calm your nervous system, and help you reconnect with your most authentic self.
Kristie’s focus is on progress, not performance. And if she’s not the right fit? That’s OK too. This is your space.

Why EMDR Therapy?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) is a powerful, evidence-based therapy that helps the brain process and release the emotional impact of past experiences, especially trauma.
Kristie is passionate about EMDR Therapy because it helps people heal from painful experiences without needing to talk through every detail. It’s a gentle, effective way to feel less stuck and more in control. She has seen it bring real relief and lasting change, and she feels lucky to support people on that journey.
